The family were on holiday on a farm. There was a 7 year old brother and both children had enjoyed looking at the farm animals.
The boy had been well up until 48 hours ago when he had started having diarrhoea as well as some vomiting which had meant he had not been able to keep fluids down. The diarrhoea was described as being blood stained. He was also complaining of abdominal pain. The other brother also had some diarrhoea but was not as unwell and had not had any vomiting.
There is no significant past medical history.
