Blood film A blood film showed evidence of haemolysis with fragmented red blood cells.
Serum urea and electrolytes Urea 18 mmol/l, Sodium 139 mmol/l, Potassium 3.8 mmol/l, Creatinine 106 μmol/l
Serum bicarbonate Bicarbonate 16 mmol/l
Liver function tests Normal
Bone profile Calcium 2.1 mmol/l, Phosphate 2.3 mmol/l, Alkaline phosphatase 234 IU/l, Albumin 31 g/l
Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) 2,213 U/l
Urine electrolytes No urine available
Stool culture Sent
E. coli O157 serology Sent
