Management of Acute Renal Failure in Children


Case 2 - Examination

The child is conscious but miserable. She looks pink. Lips dry but tongue moist. Not clinically dehydrated. Afebrile. Capillary refill is 1second. Warm peripheries.

Oxygen saturation 97% in air.

Weight 14.0 kg.

Heart rate 90 bpm. Blood pressure 120/70. Chest clear. Resp. rate 20/min. Abdomen soft. Tender in right loin. Diffuse swelling in right flank.

CNS exam grossly normal
